AIUCA LEAGUE 2013/14

AIUCA (All India united Clan Association Limited) has been launched in PS on 15th September 2013.
It provides a significant platform for all PS users to participate in various tournaments regardless of your nation, your rating and your clan.
Most importantly, it is for free!

 

Fyi, AIUCA is a consortium association which involves a few clans. This body will feature several tournaments such as a Clan League, unlimited free basic cups and tournaments that will be created by the coordinator.
It is important to note that only those clans that have been registered are eligible to be part of AIUCA and join in the fun.

AIUCA Clan League Schedule is finally out!

Rewards:

1. First Place: 1 package of 3 CMs to the winning clan (3 months CM to the captain, 2 x 1 month CM to any player as per Clan Captain’s request), Clan League Trophy and a AIUCA winner badge
2. Second Place : 2 x 1 month CM to any player as per Clan Captain’s request, Clan League Runners Up Trophy and a AIUCA first runners up badge
3. Third Place: 1 month CM to the Clan Captain/ Best Non-CM and a AIUCA second runners up badge
4. Fourth Place: 1 month CM to the Clan Captain

Additional Rewards:

1. Global User MVP: Unlimited CM
2. Best Non-CM Global user: An opportunity to form a new clan which is based on AIUCA members after (30 days) plus a trophy with badge
3. Best Non-CM Indian User: An opportunity to form a new clan which is based on AIUCA members after (30 days) plus a trophy with badge
4. All winners and MVPs will also get certificates from AIUCA, and they will be mentioned in the website

 Rules and Regulations: 

1. 3 points will be earned for each win. (Point Difference will be taken into consideration)
2. No player is allowed to transfer from an unregistered clan to a registered clan during the matches. However, if any clan wants to take in new players into their clan, they should inform at least 3 days before the match begins. Otherwise, 2 points will be deducted from their team as a penalty.
3. League matches should start on time as per the League Schedule at exact time as per the schedule.
4. If a cup cannot be created due to unforeseen circumstances, then it will be made on the following day. This is because the whole week is reserved for Clan League matches to be played.
5. A minimum of 2 v 2 cup must be played, e.g say, in a match a clan has 6 players and another clan has 2 players, then the cup can be played in 2 v 2 format.
6. A maximum of 20 minutes is allocated for the commencement of the cup. In this case, if the cup master fails to start the cup, then the other team will earn 3 points by WO.

Code of Conduct:

• Participants should be well-behaved and have appropriate manners
• Users should not abuse nor accuse any users without any solid proof (by taking screenshots and report it to admins)
• Match Referees’ decisions are final
• AIUCA have the right to amend rules in accordance to different situations

Dear PS Users,

Its brings me immense pleasure and happiness to announce the Date of GRAND OPENING CEREMONY of AIUCA CLAN LEAGUE 2013-14, followed by our first league match, after lot of hard work, we are now going to execute the 1st season of AIUCA CLAN LEAGUE 2013-14, which is a 4 month long running league with excitement and thrill, which consolidates to 84 league matches other than the knockouts and finals, with over 8 category award, this league is indeed going to be the mother of all tournaments here in PS, this league stands to be a wonderful oppurtunity for non cms to perform as we are bringing them seperate platform to come up and compete with all, we have finally come up with 14 clans which are registered member of AIUCA, who will be getting benefit of not only playing this tournament but many other than this, we are also proud that SJ members and our most hardworking team have put there best effort to plan out this tournament.

Funniest Goal Contest – Winners!!!

Some time in March, me and dad65 came up with the “Funniest Goal Contest” and what a success it turned out to be! Me, Camiventa and Norwegian [The Judges] laughed our butts off while watching some of them! Thanks to everyone who participated. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough participants to hand out the 3 month and 1 month CM to 1st and 2nd place, so we decided we would give the first place, 1 month CM, thanks to camiventa who will hand it out to the lucky person. Here are the top 15 funniest goals/misses of the contest, enjoy!

99er Cup #30!

The 99er cup is back for its 30th edition. The last 29 editions have thrown up some phenomenal competition and there is also the small matter of the rarest prize in PS, the “Champions Mark Tattoo.” If you are a 99er, it is a great chance for you to play users of the same level and for the many of us that are not,(ahem….) it is a perfect chance to watch some of PS’ most iconic player take to the field of play.

SOTWs May 2011

It’s been a great month for the SOTWB with our contest and 2 other SOTWS. We also have interviews with the winner and the runner-up of our contest.

As you may know,  we recently held the 2nd SOTWB contest which was won by areyoukiddingme. His entry “Life Saver” was full of emotion and it showed a whole new different side of him. He won by a very slim margin of 3 votes.

However, 2 threads couldn’t be separated for 2nd place so it went to a 2nd round of voting which Soccerlord1 won. His thread was entitled “Fixing a Broken Past.” Electric_Power’s “An Evolving or Deteriorating Game? You decide!” tied with Soccerlord for 2nd place but lost out in the tie breaker.

The board also felt Drogba921’s and Indahaus’ threads were also very good and they both came close to getting 2nd.

[Reporter] nev72: Your thread showed a whole new side of you which has never been visable before, where did you get the insparation for that entry

[Forum Admin] areyoukiddingme: Well… I wrote that “thread” a while ago… I applied for RA with it, about 5 months ago, and was rejected for not having enough imagination. 😉 Although it is a true story.. 😛 There wasn’t really any inspiration needed… I just felt I should share my story sometime, and planned on releasing it eventually. This seemed as the perfect opporatunity to do so.

[Reporter] nev72: What did you think of your competitors’ entries?

[Forum Admin] areyoukiddingme: To be honest… I knew I would win. I knew there wasn’t anyone who wouldn’t vote for a story that would grab their hearts. I thought there were some other good entries, the writing itself was fabulous, but their topics were… how do I say… lame. Drogba wrote fantastically, but his topic of choice wasn’t one that will win you anything…

[Forum Admin] areyoukiddingme: soccerlord and Ep did very well also. I just don’t think anyone really had a chance seeing the topic I chose… Even if there writing skills were better. Although, the fight for 2nd was very close and could have gone to anyone. 1 vote determined it all.

[Reporter] nev72: So how did it feel when you found out you had won

[Forum Admin] areyoukiddingme: Well, I figured out after everyone else had… I was on vacation when the winners were announed, so I had no access to the internet. I want to say “I was shocked and very excited and honored,” but I wouldn’t be telling the truth… As I have stated a couple of times before, I knew I would win… What did shock me though, is the fact that we had people arguing about the results… Saying the contest was flawed.. Childish

[Reporter] nev72: So what are you going to spend your 10 PT on?

[Forum Admin] areyoukiddingme: I will use it + 10 I have, to gift someone CM…

soccerlord1: Feels like I back where i belong. It seems that I had been gone for so long when I came back in may. I didnt have cm and i turned to the forum. Getting this 2nd place makes me happy and makes me sure (100%) that i belong here. soccerlord1: im back* not I back

soccerlord1: From my own past. I have stuggled with bans and still get tempted by them. I know how bans are and understand the need for change. I simply thought of myself and poured out what I have in my heart and wrote it down as it came out. Many of my threads are serious to me. I believe deep down that they are what is best at the moment.

[Reporter] nev72: You were of course beaten by areyoukiddingme, what did you think of his winning entry?

soccerlord1: The moment I read it i knew it would win. I had the situation as kyle explained in his post. It was an honor to be beat by him. If anyone got 1st place over me, he is the one who truly deserved. I praise the sotwb for judging him to be 1st.

soccerlord1: kyle being areyoukiddingme’s 1st account. I still call him that b/c i met him 1st on his 1st account.

SOTWS

Besides our contest, we gave 2 SOTWS this month. One of those went to Claud_speed entitled “Inspiration.” This thread was about resources of inspiration  such as the Phoenix Bird. The board felt it was a great read and it was written with high quality. A superb thread by a superb writer, well worth a read.

The other SOTW went to the runner up of our contest Soccerlord1 for his thread “Fixing a broken past” which was about how to turn your PS life around.  It was described as the best quality that we have had in a long time and it was a very inspirational. A great thread and if you want to change your PS career for the better, this gives some good advice

Before I wrap this recap up, I wish to apologise on behalf of the SOTWB for the delay of this article, this is because we took the decision to focus on our contest before we recapped the month

Competitions!

Recently there have been a few competitions in the forums that have caught my eye due to the large involvement of the community. If you aren’t involved already make sure to check these two competitions out as not only are the prizes noteworthy but participating is bound to be a lot of fun!

Owners Corner Contest

This competition has been organised by mr.famouz2. The judges are mr.famouz2, troy43polamalu and fred1212. The winner will receive one months free club membership! So visit the thread ‘Owners Corner Contest’ for more details and to submit your owners corner. All entries must be handed in by the 15th of December.

To help contestants out I interviewed mr.famouz2 to see exactly what he’s looking for in the contest.

pinkpixie: Do u have any tips for contestants?

mr.famouz2: Yes I do, be creative and use your initiative. That’s my tip to a good owners corner 🙂

pinkpixie: Any techniques that the judges are looking for in particular?

mr.famouz2: Well, what we are looking for is consistency in the content of the owners corner. Basically not off topic. I saw some owners corner the other day, and it was all about 99ers and I believe it was copied from a clan page. That’s not what we are looking for. We want originality

pinkpixie: Is there anything that might score bonus points with you?

mr.famouz2: Originality will score the points. Attractiveness i.e. colours and pictures too.

pinkpixie: Should an owners corner have any particular content?

mr.famouz2: Of course, it should describe the team in the best way. Basically, its like a team presentation and it should contain information about the team etc.

pinkpixie: If u were entering the competition how would u play it?

mr.famouz2: Well, what I would do is I would make my page attractive, meaningful and also appealing

pinkpixie: Great! Thanks 4 the interview 🙂 anything you’d like to say to contestants?

mr.famouz2: No problem, good luck guys, may this be a good contest and remember, this isn’t easy for us to judge! Oh and one more thing..your CM awaits you!

Uniform Contest

This competition is being run by alinenko. The judges are alvcat, belfue, mr.famouz2 and alinenko. The prize for first place is a “full afro” hair cut. See the forum thread “Uniform Contest” for more details on this competition and too submit your uniform. All entries must be submitted by the 20th of December so get cracking!

Once again to aid contestants I interviewed alinenko to see what type of uniforms will get into his good books.

pinkpixie: Do you have any tips for contestants?

alinenko: You have to be original. I can say that I like the perfect uniforms, not too simple but not too complicated.

pinkpixie: If someone copies a famous teams uniform would that be considered a good thing or a bad thing?

alinenko: I think it is very hard to copy a famous teams uniform because there aren’t many types of uniforms to choose from. But I think it is a bad thing , because these days I’ve seen famous team uniforms, and I don’t like any of them.

pinkpixie: So you would suggest not copying uniforms and instead designing your own?

alinenko: The originals are always good, yes. I like one team uniform from the world, but it’s not very famous. It is from South Africa, so you guys won’t find it 😀 . No, you’re right, if you design an original one it is better.

pinkpixie: What’s your favourite colour? 😀

alinenko: I don’t have one, I like 3 colours, yellow, violet and dark blue, but I think the one I like the most is violet.

pinkpixie: Is there any aspect of a uniform that would score bonus points with you?

alinenko: No not really, but I don’t want to see the colour white on them. White means no inspiration , like in art 🙂

pinkpixie: If u were entering the competition, how would u design your uniform?

alinenko: I would use my favourite colours , and the tricks which I know. Or I would copy the uniform of the guy who did the contest (if it’s cool :P) , but in my contest I’ve made an amazing rule that copying is not allowed.

pinkpixie: Thanks for the interview 🙂 Is there anything u would like to say to contestants?

alinenko: The “Full Afro” hair cut , will look amazing with a good uniform. Thanks. 🙂
