Goalkeeper, where are you?

Well many people would say that goalkeepers are more like spectators these days…I’m not talking about Paul Robinson, I’m talking about the goalkeepers in Power Soccer!

The goalkeepers here have so many disabilities I reckon they could do with a bit of AI.

One thing that goalkeepers lack is the ability to rush out in 1 on 1s. This would make an excellent feature, as allowing strikers too close is a definite goal. A button to press to allow goalkeepers to run forward would be an excellent idea.

Also, when the goalkeeper actually manages to catch the ball, he moves so slowly, I don’t call it walking. You can’t get out of the 6 yard box before he boots it away! Surely real goalkeepers run to the edge of the box.

Another problem is that goalkeepers need sprint! Anyone can sprint! I can sprint, you can sprint, EVERYONE can sprint…don’t know about powdersnow! But goalkeepers can’t? Whyyyy?

I don’t know about you…but last time I checked goalkeepers didn’t fly off to the corner flag every now and again after diving. Very dumb…Is it me or do keeper jump onto the floor a bit too quickly…and take too long to get up? I mean it’s a nightmare!

Another thing that keepers lack is the ability to parry the ball. I have never heard of a keeper catching the ball at full stretch in a dive! It’s ridiculous, the keeper should parry the ball sometimes, out for a corner or something. Especially in 1on1 situations where its heading for the corner at full speed and he catches it – surreal!

Keepers are a nightmare in this game and I am sure everyone will not hesitate to agree!

Something must be done!
